Just an Update...

I really wanted to post a few recent pics of Rylee and Daxon. It has been so much fun having the two of them. A lot of work at times, but fun. Rylee just loves to help me and watch me do everything with the baby. She loves watching him bath, even though he cries and she says when he cries it hurts her ears. She loves helping hold his bottle and getting his binky when it falls out. She is a great big sister.

The first few days after we got home Rylee was being pretty naughty. She was being very mean, talking back, and very, very bossy. I thought I had lost my sweet girl forever. I thought she had turned into a mean child for good. After two days she was back to herself again. So that was a relief. Now I am not saying she isn't still bossy and mean sometimes, but she is at least sweet and loving too.

Daxon has also done really good. He only wakes me about once a night. He usually wakes to eat around 1:30am and then again at 5:30 or 6am. I guess you could call that twice since I do go back to sleep after the 6am feeding. But once I go back to work, I would be getting up by then anyways. I know its early, but so far he is a very content baby. He is such a cutie and we are so glad to finally have our family complete.

Brett has been so great to help me. He has been cooking dinner every night, which I absolutely LOVE. He also is and always has been awesome at entertaining Rylee. Once he gets home, them two play and play until bed time. And of course he holds and feeds Daxon every chance he gets. He is a great husband and an awesome daddy! We couldn't do it without him.

Our Sweet Boy has Arrived...

Baby Dax is finally here! On March 17, we had our beautiful baby boy. The day we had all been waiting for finally arrived. We are all so anxious and excited...and he couldn't be more perfect.
Daxon Brett was born on St. Patrick's Day, weighing 7 pounds 10 ounces and 20.5 inches long.

Rylee was so excited to see him. When she walked in the room, the first thing she said was "my baby brother is out?" And when she looked at him she said "ooooh" with a big smile on her face. She couldn't wait to hold him.
Our family is finally complete and we couldn't be more proud!!!

It's Almost Time....

As of now there is still no baby. I am patiently waiting. I was hoping to go into labor on my own this time, but I am not so sure that will happen. Especially since I only have one week from tomorrow and they are starting my labor. I cannot believe that the longest I have to wait to see our cute bundle of joy is just one week away. Its amazing that its finally here and I am so anxious and excited. Brett is getting just as anxious as me and keeps hoping I will have him any day now. Rylee just keeps saying she wants her baby brother to come out. Even if I go into labor only a few days before I get started, that is ok, I will take a few days.

For those of you that know me, you know I am one that likes to know what is going on and when. I also have to have everything in a row and ready to go. I want everything prepared in advance. So, this weekend I got his car seat base buckled in the car, and we put the swing together. I also figured I might as well get bags packed. So for the most part, both my bag and the babies are ready to go....now its just waiting time.

My sister-in-law Lennette is sure that I will be going into labor on the 14th. She is set on that date. That would be great...except for the fact that she will be in Florida during that time and that means nowhere for us to take Rylee if I do go into labor. That could be scary!

So for now, there is still no baby Daxon. I am keeping my fingers crossed that he comes any day now. Hopefully before the 17th, but if not, that is ok too. Its only a week away and I know he is well worth waiting for.
