You are my sunshine...

...My only Sunshine! My kids are truly the light of my life each and every day. Smiles, giggles, tears and all. I am thankful each and every day that I am able to be home with my two cute and adorable little kids. I LOVE them more than the world. And I have decided that you can never have too many pictures of them....

Mountain of Milestones...

My sweet, LOVING, and cute little Dax will be 8 months old on November, 17th. I really cannot believe he is already 8 months old. It is so much fun watching him explore and learn now that he can get around. His favorite stuff to chase after is the laptop, any kind of cord, my cell phone, my camera and case, and the remote. And I have to admit that with the sicknesses going around, all I can think about when he grabs them and puts them into his mouth is germs. I believe I have become a germophobe.

He has learned so much in just this last month, its truly amazing. He started crawling backwards on November 1st, which is so funny because Rylee did the same thing before she started crawling. It was a little sad because he would want to get to something so bad and instead would go backwards and get so frustrated. On November 13th he officially learned to crawl. Before this, he used scooting or what you might call an inch worm crawl, but it was on the 13th that he just took off actually crawling and has been ever since. He started standing up to stuff at 7.5 months old and has even let go and stood. He tries to walk away from the furniture, which ends in a crash to the ground, but I am glad to see he is not scared to try. He started waving hello and goodbye at 7 months old and it’s the cutest thing ever. He puts his hand straight out at you and waves by opening and closing his little fingers. He absolutely loves to jump up and down, sometimes he tries when he is standing alone, which usually makes him fall down. Its so cute to watch. I definitely have a lot of baby proofing to do around the house now that he is into everything and all over the place.

Another exciting milestone was Dax’s very first tooth. He woke up November 11th with a new tooth on the bottom, it’s the one on the right side when facing him. He didn’t actually act like it was really bothering him until about 3 days after I first noticed it. Before it broke through he seemed a little more quiet and like he didn’t feel very good, but not really fussy.

According to my scales at home, which only does half pounds, Dax is 17 pounds and 29 inches long. He is definitely a growing little boy. He is getting so tall that I have to put him in 12 month jammies.
Here are some cute pictures over the last month showing some of his milestones….also, I got some cute “winter” pics of him. It snowed about a week ago and while getting Rylee bundled to go outside, it made me want to get some cute winter pics of Dax too. He wasn’t loving the ones outside near the snow and in the cold, but we still got some cute ones.

My little Bubbas is an AMAZING little boy and we LOVE him so much. Those pouty lips, beautiful eyes, and cute little smile. He has the sweetest and funnest little personality….and a smile that lights up the room. It definitely melts my HEART!

Winter is here....

…and I think its here to stay! As much as I love the warm weather, I can’t complain too much this winter for a few reasons. 1. I am a stay at home mom for the time being, which mean no 6am drives on the icy roads. 2. Rylee absolutely LOVES the snow and playing in it, so seeing her get excited each time it snows makes it all worth it. 3. It means watching a good Christmas movie with my family in my warm pajamas while drinking a nice cup of hot chocolate. 4. Getting to read cute Christmas stories to the kids. 5. Christmas is just right around the corner, which means taking the kids to sit on Santa’s lap, and the most exciting part, seeing their sweet faces get excited on Christmas morning.

Okay, so maybe Dax won’t completely understand yet, but Rylee just gets so excited, which I am sure will make Dax excited too.

We had a good snow storm almost a week ago and the second Rylee looked outside and realized we got snow, she started begging to please go play in it. Well since it was still snowing, I told her to at least wait until it stops snowing. The second it stopped, she was ready to go out. So we bundled her all up and outside she went. She ran and jumped in the snow, made snow angels and even tried to eat a little of it. I know, I know, gross right!? But I am pretty sure we all did it when we were little….how much fun would it be if we weren’t able to at least get a little taste of it?

Here is a first glimpse into our winter….I am sure there will be much more to come between now and Christmas…Enjoy!!!

I am truly BLESSED....

Lately, all I can think about is how much I LOVE my kids, how blessed I am to have them, how PROUD I am of them, and how much they make me SMILE. Its November, a perfect time to realize what we are really THANKFUL for and what we are BLESSED with. So here are just a few of the things I am thankful for at this time…
~ My Kids…they are wonderful and I couldn’t ask for more. They bring a smile to my face and brighten up my life. I am so thankful every single day that I was blessed with these two wonderful kids. I love you so much Rylee & Dax.
~My wonderful, loving, hard working, playful, fun, and sometimes goofy husband Brett. He is such a great person. He takes such great care of us and is the best daddy ever. We love him very much!
~My Mom…she is so great! She has always been such a caring, forgiving, and thoughtful person. She has taught me to be strong and never give up.
~My Dad…has always been there to talk to and to make me feel better any time I am having a bad day or a situation that I am not sure how to deal with. He is always there to give advice and make me feel better.
~My Sisters/Brother…have always been there for me to laugh with, cry too, and just have fun. Every second I spend with them is great. I know that no matter what they are there for me. Having family that you are so close to is more than I can ask for.
~My Friends…they are great! One thing is for sure, great friends are hard to come by. But I can definitely say that I do have some great friends. They have always been willing to help me out in any way. Having the friends I have means having someone to turn to anytime I need someone to talk to and about anything.
~My Life…as hard as life can seem sometimes with its up and its downs, its something I cherish very much. I cherish everything about it. I cherish the people I have in my life, the fact that I have a roof over my head, food to eat, family and friends to enjoy it with, and my kids to wake up to each and every day. Life is great and everything that comes along with it.
I want to say THANKS to everyone that makes my LIFE what it is….Thank You!!!

Fun, Friends, & Photo Shoots...

...This weekend was definitely full of all three. I have been putting together a baby shower for my friend Jess in St George. She is having a little girl and it will be her third kid. She already has one girl and one boy, but because they are ages 10 & 8 years old, it was definitely necessary to have a baby shower for her. Its like starting all over again, but with a few kids just at the right age to be helpful...hopefully!

Brett, Rylee, Dax, and I all headed for St George Friday night. We didn't get there until about 9:30 at night, so we just hung out, had some wine and then went to bed. Saturday was the big day for the baby shower and I was so thankful to have had Jessica's sister-in-law Karli helping me out. She had volunteered to help me since she had thought about giving her a surprise one. It really made things easier on me to have some help and I think it turned out really cute. Everyone seemed to have a good time, she has great friends, and she got some really cute stuff for baby Audrina.

Here are some of the pictures taken at the baby shower....

By the time the baby shower was done and everyone had left, it was starting to get close to dinnertime. We just hung out at her house, let the kids play, and had some wine (sorry Jess...not yet). Some friends Bret & Becky were also there hanging out after the baby shower. Becky has a little girl named Hailey who is almost 3 years old and a little boy named Hunter who is just 3 weeks younger than Dax. They are both so cute. I got some cute pics of the girls (Hailey, Talia, and Rylee) being Rockstars! Also, we put Hunter and Dax together to see what they would do. It was funny cause Dax kept putting his hand on his shoulder and his back just really soft and sweet. And Anthony just loved holding Dax. He tried to convince us that he could babysit...not just Dax but all the kids. Unfortunately, he wasn't successful at convincing us.

Here are some pics of the kids from that night....

Sunday we got up, Jess got ready, and while the guys went to the mall and to IHOP, we had a little maternity photoshoot. It was so much fun. This was the first time I have taken maternity pics, so I was glad it was of Jess. She looks so cute pregnant and I think we got some really cute pictures...and had so much fun doing it. Of course we had to be silly in between snaps! I think they turned out awesome! Luckily the guys came back just long enough for me to grab some shots with Jessica and Aldo together then the guys were off to do some hiking while we finished up and took the kids for lunch at the park.

Here are some of the Maternity Pics I got...

Ok, what can I say...I liked a lot of them. I couldn't only pick a few!

We had such a good time while we were there hanging out. It really brought back memories of old times when we lived closer and could hang out more often. Its sad we live so far away because we all get along so well and have so much fun together. Soon she will be having that little girl and I will have another reason to come hang out and visit. I cannot wait to take some cute pictures of little Audrina, I already have some cute ideas in store for her.

Here are a few random pics from the weekend...

Sorry for the longest blog ever and complete picture overload, but I just had to share...Hope you all enjoyed them!
