~Yuba Lake~

Its summertime and what better way to spend it than near the water, the sand, and best of all FAMILY! We love going to the lake, playing on the sea-doo's, in the boat, the sand and just having a great time with family and friends.
On July 18th, our family and Rick and Judi all met up with Sam, Lennette, Cruz, Savanah and their little friends at Yuba Lake. We met at the North shore, which we love because its more like a beach over there with the soft sand for the kids to play in. I love that you can walk around the whole time without shoes and not step on anything. This time we let Rylee take her cousins Jayde and Jayslin with. They rarely go to lakes and have never rode on a sea-doo, so this was a bit of a new experience for them and they absolutely loved it and had such a great time.
Rick and Judi brought their boat, we brought out the sea-doo's, and everyone had such a fun time together. The kids splashed and swam in the water, rode the wakeboard and tube, built sand castles, and everyone enjoyed just spending a day together in the sun having fun!
Can't wait until next time....

Happy Birthday Mayson...

On July 9th, my sweet nephew Mayson turned 3 years old. This little boy is so silly. He is full of spunk and knows how to tease. For his birthday we all went to his house for cake, ice cream and presents and then we went to the swimming pool. My sister had rented to pool just for his party, so it was just the family. All the little cousins had so much fun swimming together. Even half the adults got it. It was fun! Right now I don't have any pics from the pool, but hopefully I can post some later!

HAPPY 3RD BIRTHDAY MAYSON....We Love You!!!

A Princess...

...or a Clown???
Rylee is such a silly girl. She found her make-up and decided to play dress-up. She came walking in to me while I was working with pink, blue, and purple make-up covering every inch of her face and one HUGE smile to go along with it.
I would definitely have to say....PRINCESS!!!

Look what I can do....

Rylee officially learned to ride her bike without training wheels on July 15th, 2010. She is getting so BIG so fast! My little girl is growing up and faster than I can keep up, or at least faster than I am ready to keep up with.
To still learn while she is only 4 years old and on a pretty good sized bike, I just can't help but think I have one talented little girl. She is a lot like her mommy when it comes to trying new things. If it sounds a little scary and risky, it takes a while for her to get up the courage to try it. She is safe and cautious. But once she does try it, she learns in a heartbeat.
She amazes both me and her daddy. Brett said this was definitely one of those "proud daddy" moments. He was the one that ran along side her and taught her while I cheered on the sidelines to "pedal, pedal, pedal". We are SO proud of you Rylee Bug! We LOVE you!!!

Wow! 16 months already....

I cannot believe our little Dax is 16 months old already....only 2 months away from being a year and a half old! It seems like just yesterday I was holding this sweet boy in the hospital.
We absolutely adore everything about this little boy. Even the little tantrums that he already knows how to throw when he gets really mad. He has the sweetest smile and dimples. I love when he gets his serious face on when he is observing something or someone new.
He loves to SMILE and it always makes me smile right back. Nothing makes me happier than seeing my kids smile....and he definitely does that a lot. I LOVE it.
At 16 months, Dax weighs in at 23 pounds and 7 ounces. He is 33.5 inches tall.

~Happy 4th of July~

I know I say this every year, but I absolutely love the 4th of July. I don't know if its the fireworks, the BBQ's with family and friends, watching the smiles on my kids faces, eating slushies, or getting to see friends I haven't seen in forever, WAIT, it's all of the above and I love everything about it.
This year for the 4th of July we did what we do just about every year. We started off on Friday, the 2nd of July, by going to the Aurora park and letting Rylee play on the bounce slides, then watching Rylee perform with her mini cheer group, and then playing some more. After that, we went to Andrea and Kris' house for a BBQ. The kids ran around and played, and while most adults got to chat, Brett and I took turns following Dax around the yard since he wouldn't sit still for 2 seconds. That boy is on the GO! After the BBQ, we took the kids to watch Aurora's fireworks. By this time it was way past their bedtime, so we came home and put them to bed. Afterwards, Judi came and sat with the sleeping kids while we went to the street dance for a few hours.
On Saturday the 3rd of July, we woke up and took the kids to the Salina games and to watch the grease poll contest, that is always fun. We ate some slushies, played some games, bought some balloons, and Rylee even got to shoot at bugs bunny and tweety. After that we went and ate some lunch then we all took about a two hour nap, which felt SO nice! After our naps, we all got ready and went to the parade. We took Rylee to get on her float then we went to Andrea and Kris' house to watch the parade. Brett sat with Dax while I chased candy and took a few pics. I got Rylee a lot of candy, and I also caught some good stuff for her like a water mug, frisbee, bead necklaces, can cooler. She was really excited. It was fun getting to watch her go by in the parade. My baby is getting so big! Later that night we put Dax down for bed and took Rylee to the rodeo while grandma Judi stayed with Dax. Thank goodness for her, we were still able to take Rylee to do everything. After the rodeo, we watched the Salina fireworks, which is ALWAYS a great show. Salina has some of the best fireworks around by far!
And of course it didn't end with that. We also went on a 4-wheeler ride and let off our own fireworks. This was the first year Rylee actually loved doing sparklers. Last year she was still a little unsure about them, but this year she could not get enough and had in hand at all times.
I absolutely LOVE this holiday and cannot wait to do it all again next year!
