I can't believe...

how much I have to blog. Where do I start?! For starters, we had a great father's day weekend. In the morning, Rylee and I made Brett breakfast. We even made pancakes that said "dad". That was Rylee's idea...she is so cute! The day before Rylee and I made a poster for him that said Happy Father's Day! #1 Daddy with Rylee's handprints and Dax's footprints. It turned out cute and Rylee had so much fun doing it. We hung that up for him. Afterwards, Brett and Rylee went swimming and then later we all went to lunch together. Later that evening we all went back to the pool.

Here is the cute poster we decorated(Rylee wrote her name and drew the flower)...

Once we decided it was time to head back to Utah, we spent a few days just having fun before we left Texas. Brett took Rylee to a big water park called NRH2O. It has a huge section for kids with waterslides and a big bucket that dumps water. Rylee loved it and had so much fun. She even went down the big waterslide. It was a participant park only, so I couldn't go unless I wanted to pay like $22 and since Dax can't get in, we dropped them off and went shopping for a few hours instead.

Then we took the kids to the Dallas World Aquarium. It was a lot of fun. Its set up really neat in there, like a rain forest or something. Rylee really enjoyed the different animals. Her favorite was the penguins, or possibly the huge sea turtles. Ok, so there are so many different freeways in this state, or at least this area, its crazy! I thought FM 1073 was a radio station, but no these are freeways. Its very different to get use to, but I would like to add, we only had to use navigation once, and that was on our way home from the aquarium. It was pretty funny. We ended up being on the right track, but we were starting to think we were lost and thought we better use the navigation before we get completely lost.

Then it was time to pack all our stuff and head back to Utah...and let me tell you, we could not wait to see mountains again. We just wanted to be back in Utah. The kids were awesome again and we even did longer days. What we did in 4 days before, we did in 2 days this time. We left Texas around 6:30pm Thursday and drove until Albuquerque, NM, which took us until 4:30am (TX time), then we slept for about 4 hours and then left my dads at noon on Friday and drove all the way to Salina. We arrived in Salina at 11 pm Friday night. Rylee was great, and again Dax didn't cry once. So it worked out as planned.

We had a great time in Salina for 2 days. Just getting to see all the family was awesome! We rode 4-wheelers, Rylee caught frogs, played on the slip and slide, and played with the cousins. We are excited to be able to go see them for the 4th of July also.
